The Ministry of Culture honored the student film team of the International Higher Institute of Media at Al-Shorouk Academy for their film “Hayy Palestine,” which won the State Incentive Award – Social Sciences category, during the Egyptian Culture Day celebrations. The event was attended by Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanno, Minister of Culture, along with a large number of artists, intellectuals, and media figures.
Dr. Soheir Saleh Ibrahim, Dean of the International Higher Institute of Media at Al-Shorouk Academy, affirmed that honoring the “Al-Shorouk Media” student team for the film “Hayy Palestine” during the second edition of the Culture Day celebration represents a pivotal moment in the journey of both the students and the institute, reflecting the level of dedication and commitment demonstrated by the students and faculty members.
She added that the film’s receipt of the State Incentive Award – Social Sciences category is clear evidence of the institute’s students’ ability to compete strongly in major national forums and to present creative works with genuine intellectual and humanitarian value, contributing to the enrichment of Egypt’s cultural scene.
The film “Hayy Palestine” was supervised by Dr. Aya Yehia, Lecturer in the Radio and Television Department at the International Higher Institute of Media; Dr. Fatma El-Zayat, Assistant Lecturer in the same department; and media professional Dr. Dina Fekry.
